New Life For An Old Missile Base

From Missile Base To Home Base For Your RV And Boat Adventures

In the late 1950s, the US government chose a property near Louisville, NE for it's next ground-to-air Nike missile site.  That property happened to belong to my grandpa.

Exercising it's right of eminent domain, the government took the land, built the base, and a few years later decommissioned the site, selling it to a scrapper who stripped it of all valuable metals.

After passing through a few more owners, my dad purchased the property in the 1980s.

Now, after 40 years of being under-utilized, the property is being used as a "base" again.  This time, as a home-base for your RV and Boating adventures.

My name is Jacoba Rand, and I along with my husband Marcus and my parents James and Joan Engelkemier, am the owner and manager of Guardhouse Storage.  We live and work near the storage facility and enjoy keeping a watchful eye on your valuable property.

We named the business Guardhouse Storage as a nod to the property's military past.  We are located just a short drive from the communities of Omaha, Papillion, Bellevue, Gretna, and Plattsmouth.  Come see the three guardhouses still standing!
